For a while there has been a lot of talk about a racing circuit located at Portimao which is off the southern coast of Portugal. Located only 40 minutes away from Faro’s major international airport there will be a direct road leading to the motorway. This will help fans find their way to the circuit and decrease the chances of them getting lost. This will increase the amount of visitors to the new track and guarantee everyone a great time with less aggravation.

The track on the New Portugal Grand Prix Circuit is different in the sense that it has different lengths as well as configurations that will challenge every driver. These configurations also include a long length of 2.91 miles. The track will be very challenging to professionals of all levels. The new track also includes a rain simulation system to add water to the tarmac. This will challenge the drivers all around the world.
Other additions to the new Portugal Grand Prix circuit includes the international standard kart facility, a hotel that also features apartments available for rent, and a technology park located at the Algarve Race Resort. A sports clinic included in the new sports complex includes a gym, squash courts, football field and swimming pool will also be featured at the sports complex.
Compared to the old Portuguese Grand Prix circuit there has been a lot of changes. The original was used back in the 50’s as well as the 80’s and 90’s. The very first event was held in 1951 during a sports car race. Changes made to the new circuit made it more modern as well as convenient for all the fans and racers. While fans have memories of the old circuit everyone anticipated the new one.
The original Grand Prix featured a 305.200 km race with a total of 70 laps. The circuit was 4.360 km in length. The last race held was in 1996. The track had a lot of twists and turns to challenge each driver in order to make them work hard for their award.
Because the new Portugal Grand Prix Circuit is already up and fully operational, fans and drivers have a lot of nice things to say about it. It has held 2 different F1 tests since it’s opening in December. The concern for the weather has decreased with the new track.
